Linda's Story
Six years ago, my husband died suddenly from cancer. I was lost in a single world I knew nothing about. My family, my friends, my work, and my identity were tied to being married 30 years. I was almost immediately separated from the life I once loved and my days were unbelievably lonely and isolated. The bright, gifted, professional woman I thought I was quickly dissolved into pointless pursuit. Now empty of any future dreams and overwhelmed with grief, I struggled just to survive my first year alone. As I prayed for strength and guidance, God began to show me that my painful experience was for the purpose of helping others. As I listened to the stories of many single adults and heard their questions, God was giving me ideas what to do. Those conversations became the seed for developing Singles Insight. Net. As I ministered to the needs of others, a miracle was taking place in me. God was healing and restoring my broken heart. There is a new Linda now that is much better than the old. I will forever be thankful for God's grace that has strengthened me on this journey.
